Mechanical Engineering is one of the core branch of engineering which deals with transmission of energy through mechanisms and machines, its components, design aspects, theory and kinetics and dynamics of machines. It also involves insights into manufacturing techniques and its implementation to obtain desired products. Mechanical Engineer should study product design, its behavior under various conditions, analysis as well as its performance. Mechanical Engineer should be a versatile person as his work can be challenging requiring various aspects like IT (software), design and analytical skills together with an ability to work as a team. Their work profile is a complete blend of production, transmission and usage of mechanical power and heat and hence they have to analyze sources and the power they generate with design problems if any. While manufacturing any commercial product they have to take into account all business and marketing aspects to ensure that the product is affordable. Mechanical Engineer is skillful and with his prowess finds opportunity to work in various sectors like manufacturing, steel production, mining, transportation, communications, oil refining, chemical, paper mills, sugar industry, textiles, aerospace, nuclear energy, natural gas, construction and much more.
